Rantshonyane John Kololo is a Bsc.Civil Engineering graduate (1998) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, formerly known as the University of Durban Westville. He is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and is a corporate member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE).
During his studies, he worked voluntarily for Lofty’s Construction and Port Elizabeth Municipality to gain experiential training. Upon completion of his studies, he joined Fongoqa Skade Toyi & Associates Consulting Engineers as a Junior Design Engineer in their roads section. Here he was a member of a design team for both the Maputo Development Corridor, Section 8C of the N4 Toll road and Wet services at the Gateway Shopping Centre, Durban north, KZN.
He then joined MZA Consulting Engineers as a Design Engineer responsible for overall road designs, storm water systems, township development services and documentation.
In 2001 after spending just over one year with MZA Consulting Engineers, Mr Kololo was promoted to the position of Associate Director for the Transportation and Project Management division. His responsibilities, among others, were to oversee both divisions in the company’s head office in Gauteng and the Regional office in Mpumalanga and to ensure maximisation of profits.
He coordinated and was also the resident engineer for the construction of exit roads and bridges at OR Tambo International Airport,a contract worth approximately R44m.
He has vast experience in documentation, design, project management, site supervision and dispute resolution.
In 2003 he joined MRD Consulting Engineers as the Managing Director for a short period as he had to concentrate fully on Makone Consulting Engineers activities in 2004.

Innocent Munyame is a BSc (Hons) .Civil Engineering Graduate (1999) from the University of Zimbabwe.
During his studies, he worked for Inter- Consult Consulting Engineers Zw as an Undergraduate Trainee Engineer. Upon completion of his studies, he joined Inter -Consult as a Trainee Graduate Engineer in the Design office. Here he was part of the design team working on various infrastructure services projects that included mainly design of water, sewer, roads and storm-water services. He later moved to Mutasa Rural District Municipality where he became head of the Technical Department of the Municipality. The following years he spent in Botswana working for again a Consulting Company, Integrated Engineers, before moving to South Africa in 2007.
From 2007 to May 2009 he worked for several Civil Engineering Consulting companies, majoring in Project Management, Supervision and Design of infrastructure projects. He then joined Bosch Stemele Consulting Engineers and worked there as a Project Engineer for 5years. With Bosch Stemele he was involved in design and implementation of roads, storm-water, and water and sewer projects and was involved in training and mentoring of Civil Engineering Graduates and students.
Some of the projects he has been involved in include, 1700mm Dia Water Pipeline Design-Rand Water Project H39 – Klipfontein to Brakfontein (project value approx. R180mil); City of Bulawayo Water and Waste water Master Plan (project value approx. R9.8 Mil Fees) ; Kudube Unit 6 Storm-water Project City of Tshwane ( project value, approx. R 45,0 Mil) ; Mabopane Taxi Rank (project value approx. R200mil). In many of the projects he gained vast experience in design, project management, supervision and project documentation.
In June 2014 he joined Makone Consulting Engineers as a Senior Civil Engineer, leading the design and implementation of all civil projects. He is currently a Candidate Engineer with ECSA and currently processing his registration as a Professional Engineer.
Mr Hele has four years’ experience in both consulting and construction work, with his current continuous work experience has firm understanding various diversified projects and on-site experience in civil infrastructure, general site supervision. He joined Makone Consulting Engineers in late 2012 to acquire experiential training. Mr Hele is currently gaining vast exposure to preliminary and detail design and documentation on roads, stormwater, and sewer and water reticulation.

Muzi Bandzile Mohale is a Civil Engineering Technologist with 11 years’ experience.
From January 2005 until January 2006 he was a technician in training at Manjra and Associates Structural Engineers in their Durban office.
He then joined Bigen Africa in January 2006 to June 2008, where he was a technician in the Municipal services cluster where he was tasked with the design of water and sanitation services.
In July 2008 to July 2012 he joined Nyeleti Consultants and was a Senior Technician where he was tasked with the design of Roads, Stormwater, Water and sanitation services. Takesure Wadi has 07 years’ experience in civil works & structural concrete reinforcement and structural steel detailing and specializes in AutoCAD Packages, Prokon and Rebar Mate to produce civil & structural related drawings.
He got an offer of employment as an Engineering Draughts person at CSME CONSULTANTS (PTY) Ltd in 2002, where he gained detailing and draughting experience in structural steel engineering and reinforced concrete, he was involved with the construction of Chirundu Border Post Infrastructure, Zimbabwe Military Academy Infrastructure Development (Gweru), Zimra 3 Story Flats (Various Centers), NASSA Commercial Center (Bindura).He was also involved in site Supervision and Inspections.
He joined Sunway City Integrated Parks (PTY) Ltd involved in production of both structural and civil works drawing and general manning of the drawing office for an Export Processing Zone Industrial Park and Residential Area. He also assisted in tender processing and adjudication and cost estimations.
Later on he joined Techno Designs (PTY) Ltd where he got extensive experience and knowledge on structural steel detailing and reinforced concrete detailing mainly producing reinforced concrete structures drawings and designing of structures using Prokon. He was also involved in structural defects assessments and reports production on RDP houses in Eastern Cape.
In May 2016 he joined Makone Consulting Engineers as Draughts person of which his duties involves production and detailing of information, tender and construction drawings for both civil works and structural works.

Bongiswa ultimately joined Makone Consulting Engineers in March 2017 as a Graduate.
Xolani Ncala has six years’ experience as a Civil Draughtsman in Infrastructure and Civil drawings, Earthworks and Geology, Document control and MS Office skills (Word and Excel) etc. using AutoCAD 2009 – 2017, (2D Draughting).
Site Experience Projects:
Three and a half years site experience as an Engineer’s Representative, projects: (Refurbishment of Tugela Ferry Irrigation scheme & Bululwane Irrigation scheme) which included Quantity meetings, surveying/setting outs & leveling, preparations of quantities, Site supervision and contract administration during construction phase, Acted as the Engineer’s Representative which included performing the duties of the Resident Engineer and Issuing of practical completion certificates.
Xolani started his in-service training with UWP Consulting as a Document Control, Trainee Civil Technician & Draughtsman in July 2011; there he learnt Drawing administration, Issuing and filing of drawings, amendments to drawings using AutoCAD 2009-2012 for various projects.
In April 2012 He was assigned as a position of Engineering Technical Assistant, main focus of duties was in the water division. During 2001 to 2002, Mr. AL Ginga worked for Group 5 international as junior foreman in their Nova Vida housing project in Luanda (Angola). The project entailed; Construction of civil engineering services such as Roads, Sewer Reticulation, and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
Moreover, Mr. Ginga worked for Xaba Civils and PP & Sons Construction as assistant construction supervisor between 2005 and 2007 during his experiential training and after completing his National N diploma, he joined Makone Consulting Engineers in February 2008 as a junior technician in their roads and structural division.
Mr.AL Ginga is currently a senior civil engineering technician and his role includes; design of civil engineering works (roads and stormwater, as well as water and sanitation infrastructure), preparation of tender document including project estimates, project management; construction supervision.
Walter has a Civil Engineering S4 from Tshwane University of Technology. He has 12 years’ experience as a civil technician in infrastructure service and roads construction.
Walter did his in-service training with Hillary Construction as a civil technician where he learnt in situ box culverts construction, laying of pipe culverts, reinforcement steel fixing and the record keeping of all plant activities.
After completing his in-service training he went back to school. While studying, he joined Hillary Construction working as a structural foreman, where he continued with concrete works (IBC, BC and PC).
He was later appointed assistant site agent, and his responsibilities included supervising sub-contractors, preparing their payment certificates and doing general administration work.
Walter then joined Mosama Buiding Construction as a site agent responsible for constructing and repairing a canal and also replacing siphons. He then moved to the Polokwane International Airport under Mosama still as a site agent, tasked with the rehabilitation and upgrade of civil services for the new airport. This included the construction of sewer lines, water networks, paving and parking facilities.
Zacharia K. Motaung has national diploma in Civil Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology.
He has 12 years’ experience as a civil technician and is also highly knowledgeable in site supervision. He has worked for Tshwane University of Technology as a tutor and link tutor.
Zacharia also worked for a joint venture between Dz and Mmuso Engineering Construction, where he worked as a assistant site agent. While pursuing his studies, he moved to Intatakusa Consultingas an engineer representative.
His duty was to ensure that contractors met the set requirement and produced quality work. Immediately after that he joined Marklyds and WRSB Construction Company as a site agent and surveyor and was responsible for constructing the invert level and to make sure that it met the required tolerance.
At Makone Consulting Engineers, Zacharia is our engineer representative and his responsibility is to ensure that work is done to the required specification. He also does measurement for preparation of payment certificates.

Setumo Mohale is a Senior Structural Technician with 10 years of progressive experience from within the engineering consulting sector and construction industry. Through being able to understand the wider picture and with the experience needed to interpret and analyse technical structural engineering specifications, will offer a pro-active and flexible approach.
His main responsibilities include engineering design, project management and administration, Roads evaluation, Refurbishment of existing Shopping Centers, Design and detailing of reinforced concrete structures and structural steel. He also has in supervising and site monitoring. He academically holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering with Tshwane University of Technology and currently studying B-Tech in Civil Engineering.

Khethe Marekimane has Nine years’ experience as a Civil Technician post- graduate experience as a Project Manager.He did his experiential training with Labor Construction in Johannesburg and further gained experience working at Edwin Construction as a Technician assisting the asphalt plant operator and paving foreman on resurfacing of Moloto Road from KwaMhlanga to Kwaggafontein in Mpumalanga province.
He joined Phatwe Consulting Engineers as Projects Manager handling several project from Royal Bafokeng Administration where he oversaw projects from design phase through to completion. He later joined Maseno General Trade and worked as a Site Agent on the Construction of Bulk Roads and Stormwater in Braamfischerville, Soweto running the entire site.
He also worked at LBMC Consulting as Project Manager where he was involved in compiling and submitting tender documents as well as managing the construction of UTRP Surfaced roads in Mogo street, Soshanguve, Pretoria.

Thabiso Khumalo Nine years’ experience as a Civil Technician in Water and Sewer Reticulation Projects and as an Engineer’s Representative including site monitoring.
She started her in-services training with Modimolle Local Municipality as civil technician where she learnt setting out sewer pipe line levels, pipe laying techniques and quality control on site, keeping records of all plant and labour. After completing her in-service training she joined the Project Management Unit (PMU) of Modimolle municipality assisting the manager with documentation and Contracts Management of all projects.
She later went on to work for Magago Engineering as a Junior Technician for Kangala Turnkey Water Reticulation project, were she was supervising the Contractor, verifying quantities on site for payment of claims, preparing and writing of weekly and monthly reports. She went back to further her studies pursuing a Bachelor of Technology degree in Water Engineering.
Thabiso joined Jamela Consulting Engineers where she was appointed as a Technician, there she learnt about tender evaluation processes, feasibility studies, quality control and site supervision and preparing payment certificates. She worked on a Rehabilitation of an irrigation canal, supervising the construction and quality control.
She then moved on to work for Bicon Consulting Engineering as Resident Engineer for Stinkwater Sewer Reticulation and Waterborne toilets.
In October 2015 she joined Makone Consulting Engineers as the Engineer’s Representative on a sewer reticulation projects.
With over 2 years’ experience in front line IT service desk at JD Group. 1-year experience as a

His task was to deliver exceptional customer service, to ensure the store is completely ready for trade through effective stock control, security and store disciplines.
He also provided team members with clear direction and objectives for daily tasks, planning and prioritizing the tasks to ensure daily targets were met and all processes, policies and procedures are adhered to.
