Ms. Makuwa has National Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management and has 13 years HR generalist experience of which 08 is at Managerial level with construction, manufacturing, telecommunication and other industries.

While studying, Daisy worked as a casual at Sappi Esntra Mill – Springs as HR administrator doing general HR administration work. After completing her studies in 1999, she further joined Telkom SA as Call Centre Agent then later promoted to HR administrator.

In 2005 Daisy relocated to Vanderbijlpark where she joined Indgro Holdings and worked as HR Administrator then within 06 months of joining the company, Daisy was then promoted to HR Consultant position. Her responsibilities amongst others was recruitment of artisans, technicians Engineers, Project Managers and Production Managers as well as office administrators to mention a few, leave management, ensuring SLA`s are completed and adhered to.

In 2010 Ms Daisy joined Tyco International under ADT Security division as HR Business Partner where she worked diligently on her role for six (06) years. She was responsible for driving the HR Strategy within the organisation by partnering with business leaders and stakeholders, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, training and development, talent management, providing HR advice and initiatives.

In 2016 she joined Namston General Construction t/a Nantos Waste as Consulting HR Manager where she formulated HR Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct and developed the entire HR department. Daisy successfully lead the HR department by conducting HR Workshops and training.

In this role Daisy successfully managed the following HR projects and HR Drives:

• Project Uzwile
• Road Shows
• HIV / Wellness Awareness

Daisy has acquired a vast experience as HR Generalist on Employee Relations i.e. disciplinary hearings, grievance handling and resolution, CCMA representation, Performance and Talent Management to mention. In June 2018 she joined Makone Consulting Engineers cc as the HR Manager.
