Xolani Ncala

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Xolani Ncala has six years’ experience as a Civil Draughtsman in Infrastructure and Civil drawings, Earthworks and Geology, Document control and MS Office skills (Word and Excel) etc. using AutoCAD 2009 – 2017, (2D Draughting).

Site Experience Projects:

Three and a half years site experience as an Engineer’s Representative, projects: (Refurbishment of Tugela Ferry Irrigation scheme & Bululwane Irrigation scheme) which included Quantity meetings, surveying/setting outs & leveling, preparations of quantities, Site supervision and contract administration during construction phase, Acted as the Engineer’s Representative which included performing the duties of the Resident Engineer and Issuing of practical completion certificates.

Xolani started his in-service training with UWP Consulting as a Document Control, Trainee Civil Technician & Draughtsman in July 2011; there he learnt Drawing administration, Issuing and filing of drawings, amendments to drawings using AutoCAD 2009-2012 for various projects.

In April 2012 He was assigned as a position of Engineering Technical Assistant, main focus of duties was in the water division. He was involved in the Production of CAD drawings for engineering services, measuring of quantities and compiling schedule of quantities, Compilation of cost estimates for projects, Compilation of all relevant construction administration documentation, Following QMS protocol from site supervision to drawing administration. There He worked as an Engineering Technical Assistant till April 2016.

In May 2016, He was employed by TLS Engineers as a Senior Draughting Technician, involved in a rapid roll – out project for sewer and water services to informal settlements in the eThekwini area, producing tender, construction and as built drawings for the various packaged works within the project itself.

Xolani ultimately joined Makone Consulting Engineers in July 2017 as a Draughtsperson.
