Key Experience/involvement
With 10 years’ experience Olwethu Holds Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in structures. His speciality in engineering covers the discipline of structural Engineering with the working knowledge and practice in transportation engineering, Municipality Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering.
During employment at NKP Consulting Engineers and Mzansi Africa Civils extensive experience has been gained in the design, management, supervision and financial control of industrial, residential and commercial structures.
Key areas involved with include: steelwork design; concrete design; composite design; draughting; computer modelling of structures; foundation design; design of liquid retaining structures; residential houses and associated works; project management; budgeting; tendering; financial control and invoicing on projects and site supervision.
In November 2017 he joined Makone Consulting Engineers as a Structural Engineer, responsible for the design and implementation of all structural projects. He is currently a Candidate Technologist with ECSA and currently processing his registration as a Professional Engineering Technologist.
